About me: Well, let's see - former record store manager (before the place went totally corporate and decided that extreme knowledge of the job and working one's ass off wasn't as important as sucking up to the boss. Not that I'm bitter, heh.) Now...I answer calls from Americans who can't figure out how to use their cell phones. Ooooh, the excitement of it all. I have a....moderate addiction to music in all forms and I'm an avid follower of pop culture (the cool kind *g*).
I also have way too many blogs and little to really say. But we'll give this one a try and see what happens. (Though I expect most of the entries will end up being about cute guitarists - you're all shocked, I know.)

Such a twisted mind. It cracks me up too, heh.

I'm hitting the road in a couple of weeks to raise money for War Child, Coast-to-coast – 50 cities – ALL PROCEEDS TO WARCHILD. Why? 66% of all war victims are CHILDREN. Shocked like me? War Child helps these children that have been affected by war. Check out the new blog – the whole story is up there. Love to have you be a part of it.
You’ll find a Blog, Tour page and a Bio page. I’ll be blogging daily from the road.
Just stopped by to say thank you for your friendship and support. We've only had our tunes up for about 2 months now and the response has been overwhelming, thanks again TEAK RIVERS AND THE HANDSOME SHADOWS
Happy New Year darlin' ... if you follow the Celtic tradition I wish you a dark man with an orange across your threshold tomorrow ... then again ... never mind the orange, but I still you wish the dark man. ;)
Hmmm 1984 eh? That would have been my first year of highschool ... I'm trying to think of who I would have been listening to then. That was the year I learnt what peer pressure was, I remember being told that I was not gonna fit in if I kept telling people I liked The Doors. Let's see ... Elton John; The Eurythmics;Prince;Tina Turner;Van Halen;John Waite (remember that song missing you); of course Bruce Springsteen; Cyndi Lauper have to admit I liked her more than Madonna, still do ... ; probably Bryan Adams and Corey Hart as well ... :) Those are the ones that come most readily to mind anyhow.
Leanne ... I don't usually do the top ten list for music for ALBUMS ... because I like little bits from so many ... but I am going to vote for the new CD Beast ... it is the release CD from the new band Beast from Montreal .... love, love, love it ...
and since you shared Michel with me ...
check out Wide Eyed Sleeper ... they're on myspace ... from the states ... okay well really am signing off now.
leanne, greetings from edmonton and thanks for the add. swing by ANYTIME to hear for yourself why screwtape lewis would be the perfect opening act for a hawksley workman/david bowie double bill!!!
I'll apologize now for the mass Comment... but the good news is I don't know one darn person that got a $500 Macy's gift card.
In case you missed our Mod Club show last month, we thought we'd give you the heads up that we're playing this upcoming Saturday (November 17th) at Neutral Lounge on College St. as part of DJ Lawrence's Kensington Station night. Show time is 10:30 PM sharp.
In case you feel like a night out for malty beverages and of course some Rock and Roll, we're playing the Mod Club on Saturday the 20th (Depending if you're in the GTA that night or not)
If you think you might be able to make it send me a message and I'll put you on the guest list.
Note from the REAL User ME - you know I wouldn't add a stupid picture like this. Just to let you know, a spammer hacked my myspace account. Please delete the previous stupid picture.
Sorry for the mass comment but I just want to fill you in!
I've got a new record coming out!! I've been working on "Can't Let Go" for a long time and it's gonna be in stores in Canada on June the 5th so check it out! The single "11:30" was sent to radio last week so keep an ear out and request it. Hear it and a few other new tracks on my profile... "Can't Let Go" is available NOW on CD Baby.com and through iTunes soon.
I'll be having a CD release party on the 16th of June at the El Mocambo in Toronto. I'll have the full band and we'll be playing the new record live. Also, my good friend Mike Evin will be opening. Come down and join my party!!
