Marisa Ronstadt has been singing for 20 years. And unlike many young vocalists, Marisas talent isnt limited to one area. She can sing in English or Spanish, just as easily as she can perform a jazz standard or a heartbreaking rendition of a timeless mariachi classic. Hip-hop, Latin, classical and gospel are among the other styles she handles with a passionate, stylish flair.
Marisa started singing at the age of 7 when she joined the Amigos, a Phoenix-based musical revue. In the show, she perfected her ability to perform music from different eras and genres, including big band, old-time rock and roll, and modern country music. She later performed with various musical ensembles, giving Marisa the opportunity to sing across the United States and parts of Europe.
Marisa has performed with various bands around Phoenix (Pazport, Straight Up and The Chicano Power Revival Orchestra ) singing in English and Spanish. She also served as one of the hosts of the television program Off The Hook, which taped episodes to air on PAX. Marisa has performed at the Annual Huntington Park Fiestas Patrias Ceremony, the Fiestas Patrias celebrations at Placita Olvera in Los Angeles and was showcased at the prestigious 2004 and 2005 Tucson International Mariachi Conference, accompanied by the world famous Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano. She also sung the National Anthem before more than 30,000 people at Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix.
Marisa currently resides in Los Angeles, California and is preparing to record an album with Monte Carlo 76’, due early 2008.
Every new challenge Marisa faces inspires her to continue what she loves to do the most, use the stage as her platform to express who she is to the world.
