   About Marisa Yeaman
!!!!!'ROADMAP HEART' TWO MONTHS ON THE EURO AMERICANA CHART!!!!!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------NAMED IN THE RECOMMENDED ALBUMS FOR 2009 - American Music Belgium--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marisa has earned a reputation for delivering songs of substance, which dig deep into the corners of the heart and soul, evoking imagery of real lives and real places. Honest, earthy and passionate, her vocal style soars and soothes. Poetic and thought provoking, she crosses borders from Alt.Country to Blues to Folk and beyond. From her childhood raised travelling the outback of Australia with her family, she moves ever onwards exploring both the inner and the outer worlds in her music. Drawn to earthy Roots based sounds and melodic acoustic treatments, her work breathes with emotion. In 2008-2009 Marisa toured Europe, USA and Australia. She returns to Europe during 2010. -------------------------------READ MORE AT WWW.MARISAYEAMAN.COM-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'Her songs are beautiful and personal tales that reach right into the heart of the listener, like the Dylanesk 'Amsterdam Rain' that was written in the Netherlands. She has a magnificent voice that reminds of Shawn Colvin and Eliza Gilkyson'- Heaven Netherlands 2009 FOUR STARS-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"Heartfelt and honest, roots based and lyrically strong second album. Amsterdam Rain is a pure lyrical delight. A record that grows and grows in stature with each hearing" FOUR STARS - MAVERICK UK - MAY 2009---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"It is with much enthusiasm that I speak of Marisa Yeaman's new album 'Roadmap Heart'. Music lovers who know her former album,'Pure Motive', will not be disappointed by this new work. In my opinion, Marisa has forged a true place as a quality music artist. The track named 'Leaves', a live track, is a masterpiece. The piano playing by Matthew Vehl, (Chuck Jenkins & the Swedish Cowboys) is superb. Australia is an excellent breeding ground for singer songwriters, to name a few Cyndi Boste, Kasey Chambers and Sarah McGregor. Marisa's new album matches any of these. A brilliant Australian product that is beautifully produced, 'Roadmap Heart' will end up being a number one smash Americana hit."- ROOTSVILLE - BELGIUM --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The songs themselves, like the novels of Tim Winton, seem to be hewn from a specific sense of place, one that is universal, but nonetheless rooted" - AMERICANA UK------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The sound production on 'Roadmap Heart' is flawless. The narrative and observationally literary songs leave a poetic impact which is far from meaningless."- REAL ROOTS CAFE - Holland-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "She has that essential ability to present a concept or feeling in the most precise package possible, saying, to paraphrase an old quote, 'the mostest, with the leastest'. Now that's the hallmark of good songwriting." - FREIGHT TRAIN BOOGIE (4 STARS) -USA-------------------------------------------------------- "Marisa has a universiality that makes for compelling listening" - MAVERICK UK------------------------------------------ "An amazing folksinger, destined to grow, capable of instilling impressions so rare, speaking of solitude, lost lovers, the passing of time, with an aura of poetry" Roots Highway - ITALY 2009------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WINNER TREBBLIE AWARD - "BEST FEMALE ARTIST OVERLOOKED IN 2006" - Treble USA--------- TOP 3 "BEST FOREIGN FEMALE ARTIST OF 2006" - Alt.Country Cooking - The Netherlands------------------------------------------------------------ 'PURE MOTIVE' 19 on Euro Americana Charts as an independent release--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------'PURE MOTIVE' Voted "TOP 20 - BEST ALBUMS OF 2006" Freight Train Boogie USA--------- ------------------------------------------------------'ROADMAP HEART' ENJOYS 2 MONTHS IN THE EURO AMERICANA CHART.-------- Available right here(buttons on left), or at: WWW.MARISAYEAMAN.COM
