Chaque pièce signée Marius Pompon se revendique comme création artistique unique. Les chinages sur les marchés aux puces, les brocantes, les friperies et les magasins vintage se transforment en pêches miraculeuses où un vêtement, un tissu, un accessoire deviennent instantanément un début d’idée, un complément à un autre modèle en gestation ou au contraire la touche finale d’une jupe ou d’une robe.
Dans sa quête polysensorielle Marius Pompon navigue à l’instinct à travers l’histoire de la mode. Sans soucis des convenances et sans tabous, Lucie et Julie brassent différents courants, différentes décennies dans un joyeux sampling stylistique et un dynamitage des matières. Les folles années 20, les tons pop des seventies ou encore le fluo des années 80 se téléscopent pour donner naissance à des silhouettes sensuellement originales et féminissimes.

Lucie Burton and Julie Feider, the two mischievous designers behind Marius Pompon, bring us a wealth of fashion fun with their innovative, fresh, sparkling, playful and iconoclastic designs. Our two stylist friends invite us, with both humour and humility, to share their personal vision of Prêt à Porter, and ask us to join them in discovering how to turn smiles into belly laughs.
Each piece signed Marius Pompon can claim to be a unique artistic creation. Finds from flea markets, junk shops, secondhand clothes shops and vintage stores form the inspiration for a fabulous transformation: an item of clothing, a textile, or an accessory can be the seeds of a whole new idea, can complement one already in progress, or be the finishing touch to a skirt or dress.
In its search for the polysensorial, Marius Pompon navigates the history of fashion by instinct. Indifferent to convention and utterly without taboos, Lucie and Julie toss together influences from different decades in a joyous sampling of styles and materials. The roaring 20s, the punky 70s and the fluorescent 80s all telescope into great new silhouettes that are original, sensuous and feminine.
With its playful and easy to wear collections, Marius Pompon allows women to mix it up and metamorphose: a woman can inhabit her curves again and be divine.
