Mark's musical styles range from modern folk to blues to jazzy pop. He has songs about, Love and life, nature's beauty, spiritual searching and even humorous songs about furniture and VP Dick Cheney! Mark has been writing songs since the age of ten growing up in Syracuse, NY. There was always music in his house whether that was his mother playing standards and pop tunes on the organ, his Dad crooning Italian songs or the Juke box in the basement playing Motown and Beatles. Over the years, Mark has taken some extended break periods form live performance due to the demands of grad school and then his career as a Speech Pathologist and Public Speaking Coach. However, he is again seriously returning to songwriting and performing. Mark discovered an amazing organization called "Summersongs" in the summer of 2006. Though participation in these Songwriting camps, Mark's song writing deepened and expanded considerably. At the camps and countless subsequent song circles and concerts, he made many friendships with other serious (and humorous) songwriters who also strive to perfect their craft. Mark can be seen playing various venues in the Santa Barbara and LA areas. His heart felt songs, spontaneous style, irreverent humor make Mark very enjoyable to watch live.
