I was born and raised in Mansfield, Ohio. There was always music around me. My grandfather played bluegrass and frequently would have friends over for jam sessions.
I started playing guitar at around 14 and learned blues scales around 16. I've been playing in bands since about 17. In the late 70's I was playing AC/DC and Aerosmith and Ted Nugent (not all that well, if I remember).
In the early 80's it was Def Leppard, Van Halen, Scorpions and hair metal. I played mostly hair metal until the early 90's. Then I started playing stuff like Creed, Godsmack, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden.
After 2000 I started playing stuff like Saliva, P.O.D. Staind, and Disturbed. Music is a constantly changing thing and I like to learn new music all the time.
Hey, liking the new tunes. What have you been up to? Haven't checked out the band site yet. Heading over there now. My son started taking guitar lessons. He'll probably learn to play before I do (lol).
