I am a professional musician living in London (though originally from the north east of england) - a member of the superb indie pop band TRANSCARGO www.transcargomusic.com, I also freelance as a saxophonist and keyboard player. I have played for the incomparable BASEMENT JAXX, with whom i have completed 2 world tours that saw us headline Glastonbury, Benicassim, Creamfields, Hollywood Bowl, Bondi Beach and loads more.. I also play for wonderful UK soul diva NATALIE WILLIAMS and most recently have performed/recorded with JACK PENATE, GIRLS ALOUD, RAY LE MONTAGNE, MARK RONSON, HARD FI, MADNESS, PALOMA FAITH, CRAIG DAVID, THE RACONTEURS, NATE JAMES, DIZZEE RASCAL, ALESHA DIXON, GABRIELA CILMI, VULA MALINGA, TAWIAH, NATALIE WILLIAMS, ORSON, GROOVE ARMADA, EMMA BUNTON.... I also play a lot of jazz and funk (i studied jazz at the guildhall school of music) and perform with my own band 'THE MARK BROWN BAND' (for want of a better name..) across the country, most recently headling at The Kathmandu Jazz Festival in Nepal, and play with the soul, jazz and boogaloo 60's funk outfit THE FILTHY SIX. I also do a lot of songwriting and have collaborated with David Etherington, Emily Philllips, Tawiah, Dizzee Rascal. Johnathon Shorten, Natalie Williams, Drew Horley, Anthony Whiting and others as a song writer. The songs above are all co-written by me. Hope you enjoy!
