About me:
'Alan Garner meets Michael Moorcock down the pub to discuss Henry Treece.'
I'm a fantasy, science fiction and horror author with eleven novels (and one non-fiction book) published around the world.
And when I'm not doing that, I'm writing for TV and film.
Five of my novels have been shortlisted for the August Derleth Award for Best Novel, and I won the British Fantasy Society Award for my novella The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke. My writing career started when I won Fear magazine's Best New Author award for my first published short story.
My next novel is called Destroyer of Worlds and will be out in July 2009 in the UK.
'A sumptuous feast of fairytale, magic, dark gothic horror and romance' ~ The (London) Times
'A contemporary bard, a post-industrial Taliesin whose visionary novels are crammed with remixed mythologies, oneiric set-pieces, potent symbols, unsettling imagery and an engaging fusion of genre elements. His work is distinguished by breakneck but brilliantly controlled plots, meticulous research, deft characterisation and a crisp, accessible prose style' ~ Zone-SF.com
'Reminiscent of Alan Garner (the highest compliment I can pay to someone working in this mythic mode).' ~ SFSite.com

If you would like to read a sample of one of the stories from ISLINGTON CROCODILES’ you can do that now as one of the stories is posted on the Islington Crocodiles blog page. RAIDERS is the disturbing story of Barwise and Micky.
As Graham Joyce says in his foreword to ISLINGTON CROCODILES, ‘This is the edge.’

wow...so the whole series has been out already. It just never reached the States till now. Well better late than never. It's a great book. I loved all of the characters and the way you described everything. I could see everything so vividly, not too mention all the folklore. Well again I'm glad the books have finally reached our shores.
No doubt, good to meet you too man. I finished "World's End" on the same day as the season finale of "LOST", so I got a double dose of "dying to know what happens". I tried to find the full version of Age of Misrule in the local used book stores, but no luck. Oh well, i've got the date marked for the next installment. Anyway, kudos on the writing, do me a favor...don't stop!!!
