I'm a music lover, musician, and composer. My playing is okay, but I'm not trying to make a living with that modest ability. I think my composing skills are pretty good. I will compose for hire in virtually any genre. My own music is super-eclectic; A funky, acoustic, brit-pop, alt-grunge, groove kinda thang. I guess I might be called a singer-songwriter, and yes, my first instrument of choice is the acoustic guitar. That said, I really enjoy creating full band arrangements and discovering how to be expressive with sounds, effects, and audio processing. Music is sound, and a lot of sound reaches me as music.

I started this page to meet and promote musicians. Gradually I've met such an assortment of people on MySpace that I can't say this hobby is really just about music anymore. I've been exposed to some wonderful poetry and writing up here. I also like to write, usually either fiction or politics and ideas. Every once in a while I can hit the groove poetically. Sometimes not so much ;>).

I love books (fiction and non-fiction), so feel free to drop book suggestions right in my Comments field down below. That way others can see what you're suggesting as well.

I also love movies, photography, art and graphic design. My Bachelor's is in Filmmaking and Photography. There have been periods in my life when I was seeing 10 films a week. I'm not that obsessive these days by a long shot, but if you like to talk about movies, you'll still find me eager.
