About me: After much thought, consideration and prayer, I have decided to run for the United States House of Representatives to represent the 5th Congressional District of Georgia. Encompassing Atlanta and some of the surrounding areas, this district and community are full of history but in the words of Barack Obama, this generation's "time has come" to bridge the gaps between the glory of our past and the challenges of our future. Now is the time in our city, state, nation and world for our history to meet our hope(s)...
Through the leadership of some of our nation's most cherished civil rights icons, this community has served as a catalyst for social change nationally and internationally. I have been fortunate to be personally mentored and befriended by many of them such as Coretta Scott King, Joseph Lowery, Hosea Williams, John Lewis, Maynard Jackson, Andrew Young, Xernona Clayton and many others. From them I have learned the value and power of sacrificial, servant leadership and the capacity of one generation to change the course of history for those who follow. Through my own public service, however, I have learned the urgent need to further the cause of our collective humanity in this generation the way the aforementioned courageous men and women did in their's. We must now step-up... here I am, reporting for duty!!!...
For the total of my public life and professional career, I have tried to work for and serve the collective interests of humanity as a private citizen and I am truly humbled by and proud of those successes. Now the time has come for me to serve and advocate justice, fairness, equality, liberty and social CHANGE as a public official. Therefore, I am a candidate for the United States House of Representatives! *********************

The benefits, most people when they apply for a job they ask about the benefits and a lot of the time that determine if they take the job. Well, let’s look at the benefits of our Lord and Savior as it speck of in Psalm 103: 1-5. That word benefit in the Hebrew means to deal bountifully, reward, and to recompense, and recompense means payment or the act of compensating for loss or injury. So I say, Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his Benefits. Because they belong to you!!
God will satisfy all your needs, as lone as you trust in him. That word satisfy in Hebrew expresses the idea of being filled or or fed beyond capacity or desire. The word says in Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
Sometimes we get in much too big of a hurry. The Bible says in Psalm 27: 14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the lord.

May I pray for you? Father, may my friend be lifted, gifted, never sifted. A man's gift makes room for Him, Your Word has spoken. I decree right now there be doors open to use their gift to advance the Kingdom. May there be strength, unity, over flow, increase...increase in breakthroughs, and increase in health, finances, as they seeks to do your will. Flood their house with favor. Let their community know their God. Help them, I pray, to walk, not wander...stand, not stumble...step, not stray...be blessed, not depressed...not stressed, not worried, not laden with unnecessary loads...help them to be focused. Amen! Let it be SO!
Thank you for accepting me as a Friend on here...and also for inviting me to share the pulpit with you when you spoke at a Voter's Program at ESBC in Louisville back in the Fall 2007.
