I got tired so it's not nearly complete, but at least it's in alphabetical order.
Movies
All the Real Girls, Band of Brothers-I'm counting this as a movie, Donnie Darko, Motorcycle Diaries, High Fidelity, Old School, The Beast. That's enough for now.
Television
Arrested Developement. Everything else is in another category.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Family Guy, and yes, I watch the OC every week. Deal with it.
Books
Right now: Killing Yourself to Live by Chuck Klosterman, as well as Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs by the same author. I will always love A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again by David Foster Wallace, as well as Infinite Jest. (Now I must unfortunately add RIP DFW(and if you haven't yet, you should walk out the door right now and go get A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again and read it)) Sirens of Titan by Vonnegut. The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov. And Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole (Ken I think you have this. You need to finish it, I know you can read brotha). Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson (I think Carl might still have my copy), And the Rum Diary as well. The Fear and Loathing Letters is excellent, but a bitch to get through unless you have a somewhat unhealthy obsession with Mr. Thompson. This is about a balanced a list as I can come up with in a few minutes.
Heroes
I would say Hunter S. Thompson, but the bastard killed himself.... Seriously, now I also have to add David Foster Wallace to this list, I'm afraid to update my books section with a new author for fear they may also decide to off themselves. Watch out George Saunders.
Watch out for Buffalo on Saturday. Maclin might only score 2 touchdowns instead of 3 this week. Take it easy on those poor little teams. At least you can focus your attention on Mizzou and forget about the Rams and the Hawks. Peace in your crease.
Hey friend, Thought I'd give you a shout. Hope all is well. Looks like those Cubbies have a shot in the old NL Central, although I bet you aren't counting your Cardinals out just yet. Either way you better go to some playoff games this year.
You know Mark, it really is a great way to look at life, and I'll be damned if I have found a better motto yet!!!!!!!!! I'm glad we thought of it together. And the best part....there is only 4 of us in the world that knows what the hell that means!!!
Hey you! How have you been? Hope all is well. Well, Travis and I found out on Monday that we lost the baby...don't even know if you were aware that I was pregnant. Just thought of you and was hoping that things are going well for you. BTW, when are you getting married? Your girlfriend is a gorgeous girl...think about it....LOL ;-)
Dear Mark, Here are some thing you are good at: Reading Writing Political Science Running Fast Listening to Music Dancing to Motown Philli at weddings Eating unhealthy food Hockey knowledge Roller-blading and ice skating Learning escape routes out of your building Losing your glasses Breaking your glasses
But the one thing you are absolutely terrible at doing is: ANSWERING YOUR PHONE! CALL ME!
If I could make one more thing happen this summer.......it would be you, me, Carl, & Tim.....311 -- Incubus double concert!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know what I'm talkin 'bout!
So I guess we misssed that conference call. Oh well. I kind of had a feeling that was going to happen. Let's set up another one so we can miss it too. I was stuck on the lake. Chucky and I leave for Vegas on Wednesday so we'll call you from there.
I think I have to be back to school that week but I'll try to make it up that weekend. I think there might even be a Preseason Hawks game. Anyways hope you're doing well and I'll talk to you Sunday.
Hey Mark. We still haven't had that sit down chat we always talk about. Let's set a date and stick to it. I want to hear what you've been up to. Hope you're doing well man.
