   About Market Zero
.. Market Zero is a Celtic-Jam-Rock fusion band from Middlebury College in Vermont. The group formed in fall of 2005 when guitarist/songwriter James Riley and Jordan Tirrell Wysocki, a fiddler versed in Celtic folk music, joined forces with Brian Harris, a bassist primarily influecnced by Motown and funk. Drummer Max Obata completed the quartet by joining in Spring of 2006, and it quickly became apparent that there was great potential to create something special. Market Zero plays mostly original compositions, but a normal set often includes fresh, rock-driven arrangements of Celtic fiddle music, a contemporary cover or two, and a personalized version of The Devil Went Down to Georgia. For the last several years Market Zero has been performing shows at various venues on campus, at other New England colleges such as UNH, Darmouth, Williams, St. Michael's College, and Western Conneticut State University, as well as different pubs, restaurants, and outdoor events in the New England area. In April of 2006, the band joined forces with producer Don Harris and recorded their first album at Trompaphone Studios in New Fairfield, Conneticut, the release of which is expected in the fall of 2007. The original work of the band displays a fusion of varied musical genres, and the tonal interaction of their work is melodic yet unique, providing the audience with musical brainfood while they're rocking out. They are continuously writing new songs to keep their audiences entertained and ensure that no two shows are ever the same. Market Zero will continue to write music and play shows locally until graduation in 2008, at which point they will try their luck on the road and see how far it will take them. For booking info, e-mail Market_Zero_Music@hotmail.com. Note: The current songs on this website are still works in progress and will continue to be tweaked by the producer until the album is released.
