Mark Glass is a talented musician hailing from College Park, Maryland. His ecclectic mix of nu-jazz, soul, funk, pop and soft-rock is catchy and has a definitive 'groove'.
He is currently involved in recording the first 5-song EP release of "The Summary", a local band that further augments his unique sound. After the release of the EP the band and Mark himself plan to tour the greater Washington DC and Baltimore area to promote their newfound musical sound through solo and full band dynamic.
In The Summary Mark fills the role of Lead-Vocalist and Rhythm Guitarist. Bassist Eric Washington and Drummer Steven Seese were involved in many similar musical projects in their years of friendship and have a strong musical chemistry that helps provide a solid backbone for the band. Keyboardist/Trombonist Danny Kauffman further fleshes out their sound with soothing and grooving harmonies.
Mark's musical vision is to bring the pure, raw and 'unproduced' soul of music to the ears of all who will listen. He desires to create meaningful insight and memories for all of his listeners. To quote a song from the upcoming 5 song EP release from The Summary, Mark invites you to "come and join the reverie".
