Influences
I find this to be a tricky question. A person is influenced by everything that happens in their lives. So even music or art that I don't really care for or actively listen has had some effect on my music and art. However, that being said my musical tastes are very electic and not as snobbish as I might want to state publically. A typical music listening day for me can include such things as Johnny Cash, Petula Clark, or The Monkees, It could include at another time Fela, Baba Maal, or Nusrat Feteh Ali Khan, Another time The Sex Pistols, Ramones, or Patti Smith, or it could be Showtunes or The Rat Pack. Then listening to Philip Glass or Jimi Hendrix, other times I could be listening to Snake Handler's Gospel psychedelia.
Other things that influence me are ideas specifically Spiritual Ideas even if I don't share those specific beliefs they do find their way into my art. Ideas such as conspiracy theories, religous paranoia and zeal. At times I try to put my self very much in to the mind of these types of people and see what I bring back from it.
People like Timothy Leary, David Icke, Terrence McKenna, Rumi and even Princess Diana all of whom I respect. And people who I don't repsect like Jack Van Impe, William Buckly Jr, The Heinz Corperation, The President of The US(insert name of current or former here), PM of Britian(insert name or current or former here), Prince Charles, The Queen, Prince Fad, The PM of Isreal (Insert name of current or former here). Basically the Presidents and PMs of most countries I don't respect.
Nature, Industry, Cultures of all kinds including Pop Culture, Colours, Smells, Emotions, The Play of Light and Shadows, I can hear them and Sounds also can become colours, smells, emotions etc etc for me.
Also my Parents, My Sister, My Son, My Wife, My Step-daughter, My Family, My Friends, Old Loves, Old Hates and current ones. Basically everything influences me and ends up here or there in what I do.
I guess it's just basic Chaos Theory
Sounds Like
This is another hard statement to make as which pieces that I will have on here at any given time will change the answer to this question.
I work with so many types of music that to me make sense as a larger messege and purpose. It's really up to you the listener to tell me what you think it sounds like or hopefully that you will think it sounds totally unique. Often I have listened to music on websites and purchased music in stores that people have said "It sounds like nothing you've ever heard" only to be disappointed in that it did sounds like something I've heard. Unbelievable the amount of people putting out stuff that sounds like early Throbbing Gristle thinking they are the first ones to do such a thing. I am currently waiting for something completely new that I haven't done to really make me feel something like the first times I heard Slapp Happy, Nusrat Feteh Ali Khan, or Fela.
If you please give me a listen and hopefully I will "draw (you) a sheep" that fits into that little box you hold so dear.
Or you could just listen to it or even purchase a couple of tracks. :)

Born in Flint, Michigan, Mark is now living on a farm in central Alberta, Canada, with his wife. He is committed to Permaculture, Sustainable Living, Rare Breed, Heritage Breed, and Exotic Livestock as a means of easing some of the impact we "Humans" have made on our home, Planet Earth.
Of his work Mark has said “Musically I am trying to create a larger picture than say a body of work that is based on specific pieces. I have extended my composition palette to include such things as project names, piece titles, production values, and the seemingly apparent lack of them in some cases. All of these things work together to tell a larger story and to have a larger effect on the listener that will hopefully transfer into new realities in both the material and spiritual worlds.”
“At times I will rework a piece several times creating several variations from it using different effects, instrumentations, timings, scales and temperaments. At times even naming the piece two or 3 different names or misspelling the name of the same piece and putting it out under those different misspellings. Although it is the same piece.”
Some of Marks works include inaudible Binaural Beats embedded within the music as well inaudible tones which have an effect on the subconscious mind. Marks goal is to help people break free of the reality that has been created for them or that they have helped to create that may be a little constricting. He believes that Music and Art can be a means of changing reality into a more beneficial existence.
Mark says “My concern is not to produce pieces that fall into a shiny little tune you can listen to whilst driving to the beach or a piece to listen to an orchestra belt out at the symphony. The pieces are meant as transitional doorways to be experienced in more intimate settings, as interactive tools for cleansing the doors of perception if you will.”
“The pieces are at times scary, at times humorous, at times loving. I guess I have taken on the role of a trickster to help you realize things within yourself and the music I create is only a catalyst for that purpose.”
