I am a British writer and researcher based in London. I was born in Frimley, Surrey. My particular area of expertise is offshore outsourcing (or offshoring) and the issues surrounding this form of corporate structure. I am the the author of 'Outsourcing to India: The Offshore Advantage' (Springer Verlag 2004, 2005) and a contributor to 'Technology and Offshore Outsourcing Strategies' (Palgrave June 2005, edited by Peter Brudenhall).
I am also the editor of'Building a Future with BRICs: The Next Decade for Offshoring' (Springer 2007), which is focused on the growth of offshoring global services to Brazil, Russia, India and China and co-author of 'Global Services: Moving to a Level Playing Field' (BCS 2007), which is a look at globalisation in the context of Friedman's 'Flat World' and outsourcing - this book is co-authored with Dr Richard Sykes of British IT association .
I am a non-executive director of the peer-to-peer foreign exchange auction system FXA World. I have recently advised two new companies during their start-up phase, including BrainMatics and I am working on some other start-up plans.
