Fidèle a la musique depuis la première heure, MARK KEEN est un auteur/compositeur/interprète exceptionnel, un guitariste hors pair à la voix suave et sensuelle. Malgré ses origines espagnoles et irlandaises imprégnées de tradition musicale, il est au départ fasciné par la poésie et ne vient que tardivement à la musique. Il se met finalement à la guitare parce que « je passais par hasard devant un magasin qui vendait des guitares et j'avais assez d'argent sur moi pour en acheter une – ça aurait tout aussi bien pu être une jardinerie et j'aurais peut-être acheté une pelle. »
Ses influences diverses sont représentées dans le large éventail de styles de ses chansons, du blues traditionnel au folk en passant par le jazz swing et même l'univers psychédélique.
