About me: I am 30 years old and reside in Leigh on Sea ,Essex. My main hobby is skateboarding of which I have dedicated my last 20 years to doing. I also enjoy filming/editing and have just produced a Southend skateboard film (details below).
The video titled " Seaside" was premiered at the SUNROOMS in Southend on June 6th at 8:00 pm. I took careful time and patience in both the filming and editing of this video. I have attempted to capture both the skaters and the roles in Southends skate scene that they played.
It had always been an ambition of mine to make a Southend scene video and four years, three camcorders and two Apple macs later I have achieved this. I have combined a catalogue of Southend skaters who were present throughout the nineties (even eighties!) Southend scene and who can still be seen skating to this day.
I felt it was important to chronicle certain Southend skateboarders who achieved and contributed so much to the scene who may not even be known to the up and coming skaters from the last five years.
