Someone who loves music with all his little rotten heart.
I spend most of my time over at my music myspace at El Bastardos these days, so message me there if you want to get hold of me.
Aiming for something between a breakbeat Slayer and Arab Strap/Fugazi sort of noise. All applicants welcome, preferably ones that don't know what a dick I am yet. Message or e-mail me if it sounds like its up your street. Glasgow area would be handy but not essential yadda yadda yadda.
Ever wonder why, when a person is made aware of information that their brain interprets as new, that they automatically condescend to all of their previous assumptions? I do, my head is full of words, beats and noise. Sometimes it seems worthwhile to share some of them. I love music above all else and compose, produce, remix and perform for a number of bands in a variety of capacities. Except for live drums, which I can never quite get my head round.
I'm based in Glasgow and play a solo show every other month to keep my head straight and focused, these are generally quiet intimate little affairs, running as a total contrast to the big loud brashness of some of my other musical projects (Including YER MAW, with the mighty Gill Rockatansky and the skanky WG Bryan) and hopefully keeping me thinking and stretching the possiblities of what can be done with music that can't be achieved through discourse and intercourse.
I've recently started moving back into more dance-oriented music. Why? Well mainly because I've spent most of the last five years making deliberately obnoxious and undanceable music and I'm too lacking in Subtlety to do anything other than swing from one extreme to the other. My partner in crime for this is Steve Strider who, depending on who you talk to, is a psychotic gun-toting urban survivalist, a drug-addled waster, or a pleasant and very talented young DJ.
