What is music and why does it affect us so deeply?
This is a mystery in the heart of music as a spiritual path; a question that animates the journey of music with endless insights and surprises.
Through music one can travel over distant horizons, journey in the past and the future, and remember things perfectly obvious yet difficult to describe or explain.
No wonder music in Sanskrit is “The language of the gods,” and why the Bible advises “dance and make joyful sounds” in memory of God.
In conversation with divinity, best to speak and listen in its native tongue.
Please find here joyful sounds celebrating the “living god”, animating the hearts of all people and all living things:
In “Allah Oum” perhaps dance and press your forehead against the sacred earth, giving thanks to it for our flesh and blood, and the power to sing and dream.
In “Yawehallahoumdeijah!” listen for the furious lightning bolt that never strikes to silence this erstwhile heresy!
In “Emmanuel” feel free to call upon the spirit of wisdom and knowledge of truth, and fill us with all of it’s beauty and intelligence, written by God in the blueprints of the living world.
“In the beginning” goes one story “there was the word. And the word was God. And the word is God.” What is a word? A Sound. What is a sound?. A vibration. What are vibrations? Modulations of a pulse over time. Also known as a song. Or for that matter: The Creation. In another version, there is the “oum” --a triune vibration at the root of time and existence, precipitating and shaping all events and existing things.
"May all who have ears to hear, listen” as the saying goes.
In music far and wide the eternal “voice of the muse” fills the heart with joyful sound, that we may dance and sing out our prayers and crys for an end of suffering and ignorance.
Give thanks and remember: The kingdom and queendom of heaven is “within you.”
“Yee are Gods” said Yeshua.
"We are the ones we have been waiting for."
