The Mark Pender Band is a funk, jazz and jump blues band. The band features original compositions with lots of room for jamming improvisations. Based in the New York City area the band includes Ritchie Labamba Rosenberg on trombone, Tim Cappello on sax, Glenn Alexander on guitar, Paul Frazier on bass, and Mo Roberts on drums.The band plays at many NYC haunts including the Cutting Room, The Triad Theatre and Session 73. Other shows included the Jammin 105 party cruises, Southstreet Seaport concerts and a recent opener for James Brown at Asbury Park Convention Hall. We've also been featured at the Cherokee Jazz and Blues Festival in Cherokee Iowa and at the Blue Room@ the American Jazz Museum in Kansas City Missouri.
You can check Mark "The Love Man" Pender and Richie "La Bamba" Rosenberg in the Max Weinberg 7 every night on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Both Pender and LaBamba also just wrapped up playing in the Bruce Springsteen and The Seeger Sessions Band World Tour. Pender and LaBamba are also members of Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes.
