Hey there! I'm a musician originally from Sydney,
but currently living in Adelaide, in sunny South Australia.
I'm into different types of music, but in recent
years I've grown to love a bit of rock, and am always looking out for good
Christian rock.
But I don't really care about styles actually.
I just love to sing a great melody and especially singing along with a crowd!
I love Jesus and what he's done for me and so pull it all together and I find
myself as Music Director at Holy Trinity Adelaide. It's an awesome church with
great people, and a place where we value doing music well. So I get to do what I
love doing for my job.
In 2003 I released my second full album,
"Whatever Happens".
The entire album is the book of
Philippians put to music. I'd written a couple of songs for
churches to sing (namely "Highest Place" and "The Lord is Near") and was
originally just joking with a friend about doing a whole album of them.
I wrote the opening track, "Grace and Peace" half thinking the project
would be too tricky, but then one by one the songs started to take
shape.
People have used the album in their own
devotions, in group Bible studies and other places, and I've had the
chance to do a number of Philippians gigs, where I've had the whole
letter read out, interspersed with the songs, various thoughts, plus
several prayers.
My first album was Highest Place, a
congregational album released at the end of 1998.
This album included the songs, "May the
mind of Christ", a simple contemporary tune put to Katie Barclay
Wilkinson's extraordinary lyrics, "Highest Place", which also found its
way onto the Philippians album because it is a setting of Paul's amazing
hymn in Philippians 2 about Jesus coming to us in humility and being
exalted by his heavenly Father, and "Psalm 103", recently re-recorded on
the EMU album "Let All Creation Sing".
Over the last 5 years or so, various songs of
mine have appeared on EMU congregational albums. You can purchase any of
these albums through EMU +61 2 96929944 or

New From Jared Anderson, one of today's top CCLI songwriters, comes his first LIVE worship album, Live From My Church. Recorded at New Life Church in Colorado Springs. Jared leads an amazing night of worship introducing ten new songs as well as a LIVE version of his radio single "Glorified" and a new recording of John Mark McMillan's "O How He Loves." The song "Carrier" has become the theme song of a major mission organization and tour promotion will be built around the theme of Jared leading worship "live from your church."
thanks for the copy of the new CD, congrats - it sounds great. in fact, you've gone to the top of Aja's playlist requests (seriously) edging out James Brown, Nathan Tasker, Dig, and wiggles for the honours. she already knows a lot of the words to see him coming and sings along. not bad for a 2.75 year old.
hey mark hows it goin???? last friday we had a practice for joys song at church and it worked really well befor 12 21 so we were wondering if we could have a practice there again this friday??? we would be able to get our hands on the key if its ok have a good week
Thanks for the add. Always nice to see other Adelaide artists on this monster. My bro and his wife used to go to Holy Trinity- Sam and Hannah Bleby. Probably a while ago now that I come to think of it. Anywho, keep the music coming.

I never said there was, trust me, I'm rather certain quite a few of my friends would have something to say about me having problems with denim jackets, as they aim to look like members of swid row, poison, guns n' roses or stryper haha
