He was also a State Champion Tennis player for GHS as well. Mark later received a music (jazz) scholarship to Florida State University where he studied under Leon Anderson Jr. (drummer for Ellis Marsalis, Marcus Roberts). While at FSU, Mark had the opportunity to perform with jazz greats: Wyclef Gordon, Ellis Marsalis, Victor Goines, Manuel Valera, John Sneider, and Joe Magnarelli, among others.

Hey Mark! Sorry I've been out of touch lately man, I'm going to have a lot more time to keep up lately since I'm not going to be teaching full-time this year anymore. I haven't had any gigs as a leader lately but I'd love to get to play again sometime in the future. We gotta hang next time you're down here or if I make it up your way. Take care Mark!
Hey Mark, you sounded great lastnight, I'll be there next week as well with Charlie Wooton and a surprise special guest. Come and jam with us. Peace and love.......j Lunapic Photo Editing
Dude is Rick Lollar a blues guitarist? I think he used to sit in with us as a little kid when we would play at Parrot's on Pensacola. He must have been like 12 years old and he was sick
