Otherwise, you've got to be kidding.
This singer/songwriter/musician from New York City is stuck in limbo, ferrying himself back-and-forth between the East Village of NYC and it's rough equivalent in the Grunerlokka district of Oslo, Norway, drifting in a music scene which spans the world, from New York to Reykjavik to Oslo to Berlin to Paris to Brussels to Prague to Lisbon to Melbourne, Australia!
Yep... I STILL occasionally front a debaucherous New York band of 19th Century Lower East Side destitute vagrants called PIKER RYAN, which debuted as 'PIKER RYAN'S FOLLY' in 1997, and I also worked and matured in The Big Apple (graduated from bourbon to cognac) with KUNDERA. Now I'm working with my "solo" material on both sides of the big pond and beyond, with my band of French, German, American, Norwegian and Australian musicians, THE FALLEN BIRDS...
For further info on my band and various music projects, which have been compared with everything from the likes of Tindersticks, Hugo Race, Sixteen Horsepower and the Birthday Party, go check out STAGGER HOME MUSIC at www.StaggerHome.com

· My dear, I would love to see that happen but I'm afraid that it not will possible (the Global crisis... you already know). I will be in Lisbon the first one week of August and then I'll travel to Berlin.
When/if finally you come to the Iberian Peninsula, please, whistle (me) higher!
Wow, that was a shock, totally would'nt have expected that, your truly a doll, will check your new stuff out, am sure it's superb, as usual. Am lookin' forward to seeing you when you come, take care, I do think of you often, much luv & cya real soon. ~xo~ ♥ ♥
I'm happy to announce that my new album "Songs From The Films Of David Lynch" is out now.
"Truly unsettling and perplexingly brilliant... testament to both the quality of Lynch’s soundtracks and Truax’s talents" - The Skinny
"Truax is paying homage to a kindred spirit with this album. It's the best kind of tribute – affectionate and respectful, but with its own quirks and imaginative leaps and its own distinct identity." -The Scotsman
This Friday: BODUF SONGS & TO KILL A PETTY BOURGEOISIE @ schokoladen
Deceptively low key, BODUF SONGS skirts between singer-songwriter, psychedelic, home recorder and folk modes, bringing an obtuse, angular minimalism to these forms. Wunderful. TO KILL A PETTY BOURGEOISIE consists of Jehna Wilhelm, guitar and vocals, and Mark McGee, electronics and sound manipulation. Expect some dark ExperimentalAmbientPop à la Portishead meets Godspeed You Black Emperor
