About me:
Hi! My name is Courtney Price and this is my comic strip "MARKSVILLE" that I've been developing since 1998. I also have a flickr account at www.flickr.com/photos/marksville and a twitter at www.twitter.com/courTOONey

PLOT SYNOPSIS: People often ask me "What is your comic strip about?" Honestly, it's not really "about" anything in particular.

CHARACTER SYNOPSIS: The main character is Mark Seville, age 17, and a junior in highschool. Mark's a little on the nerdy side and has much anxiety over girls, not so much over school or his future. His two best friends are Traven Appleby and Summer Tanager. Traven and Mark have been friends since birth. Traven is not the shiniest penny in the fountain, but he's a good guy. He has a younger brother, Dale, age 10. Summer is Mark and Traven's only real female friend. She met Mark in middle school and is kind of a hippie type. Summer is a very cute girl, but Mark is completely oblivious to this fact since he has been in love with the same girl, Roxanne Fiori, since the third grade. Roxanne has no idea that Mark exists and is pretty much the villian of the strip. Mark's parents are Margo and Steven Seville (Margo is one my favorite characters to write for). I hope to get Marksville syndicated someday, so you better add me before I'm too busy/famous/important to talk to you. (just kidding...or am I??) If you like Marksville, I like you! If you don't...ummmmmm...Enjoy!

Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.

My graphic novel HAUNTED is now available for preorder at your
local comic shop. The easiest way to describe it is "Goonies in a
haunted house." You can check it out at www.hauntedcomic.com

Haunted won the Xeric award established by Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtle co-creator Peter Laird. If you like what you see please ask your
comic shop to order it and be sure to tell any friends you think would like it.

I'm an indy creator so every bit of support makes a difference. Thanks for

checking Haunted out.

Wow, I have read their works too, though not many. I like Catcher in the Rye, Mezon Ikkoku, Inuyasha. For Haruki Murakami, I have enjoyed his Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World (read in Chinese translation). And I also like Roald Dahl's works. Just bought his BFG as a birthday present to my student who told me he has started reading it and loved it! ^_^

I have not heard about the movie, but surely we can look forward to it...but I am not sure will we get to see it in Singapore! :( We are always so slow in getting movies, and CM Season 5 won't be here on our national tv till next year. Tonight in half an hour's time, we are going to show Amplification, episode 24 of Season 4.

Thanks for adding me, may I know the full names of the writers you like? Some of the last names seem familiar but I am not sure. :) Like what I have seen in a glance here, hope we become better acquainted in future!
