Defying the traditional boundaries of genre and style, Mark Twang's sound is at once down-home, engaging and a regular ol' good time. You could define their ecclectic style as a blend of Acoustic Ethno-Blues and Folk-Funk music, and their vibe as lively and soulful. It is largely driven by Chris Alford's steel guitar stylings and gripping arrangements, but the overall sound is percussively backed by Joel Masters on acoustic bass and Javier Saume on the Cajon, a wooden box drum with Peruvian roots. Vocalist Leslie Hunt's rich, smooth textures add a powerful element of soul. The band covers anything from Bjork to The Beatles, and their originals draw from the group members diverse backgrounds and musical influence.
