The voice and songsmith behind Finnish power pop quintet THE LATEBIRDS, Markus Nordenstreng has also come to his own as a solo recording artist. In between writing and recording music for The Latebirds acclaimed albums (Fortune Cookies 2003, Radio Insomnia 2005) or writing hits for various other Scandinavian acts, Markus has spent his spare time writing and recording solo material. Debut album ‘MOODY’ was released in Markus’ homeland almost a decade ago in 1998 and his most recent solo project, ‘LATEBIRD’, saw the light of day in 2003.
Latebird Markus Nordenstreng’s forthcoming new album is titled ‘MUSIC FROM RED HILL’ (due: March 2007). Written mostly on piano and produced by the artist himself, this new solo effort will continue to showcase the undeniable talent of an extremely prolific singer/songwriter. ‘Music From Red Hill’ is very much a timeless album. You can certainly hear echoes of the late 60s and early 70s Laurel Canyon on some of these new tracks which were all captured live in the studio. And perhaps the title ‘Music From Red Hill’ could be viewed as a nod to The Band and the music that came out of Woodstock almost forty years ago. But the inspired, poignant lyrics portray a writer very much in touch with the world around him. In addition to Markus Nordenstreng and his grand piano, the new album will also feature a bunch of distinguished musicians. Stay tuned for more details...

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
