Mark with the Sea is the adopted moniker of depress/folk artist Marc Oswin.
Marc's sound is heavily influenced by the notoriously bitterly cold winters of gold town Ballarat and the seasonal depression that goes hand-in-hand with that. Conjuring stories of lost love, lost ways and lost lives and translating them to audiences with voice and guitar.
Securing some high profile supports for artists, such as Jim Ward, Josh Pyke, Bob Evans, Bertie Blackman, Bluebottle Kiss and Richmond Fontaine, Mark with the Sea, is now looking to expand his horizons and reach more ears for his sounds.

I have put together a very limited edition ep, which is currently on sale online at
fist2face.com.au, or from me at shows ($10). It contains six tracks, plus one bonus track with a special guest vocalist.

About a month ago, I put up three tracks on the Triple J Unearthed Competition website. If you have liked my tracks on myspace, please check them out. Two of them are new tracks off the ep, and the other is a fresh recording of "Appearances can be Deceiving", which is currently available to listen to on this very site.
Here is the link.
