With a voice that's as smooth as sandpaper and recalls a time when gentlemen weren't quite so gentle, Mark Woods' whimsical world is a folksy, rootsy one, where rock and roll makes fleeting appearances amidst the occasional waltz and ballad. The songwriter, from South London, is currently singer and guitarist in the seminal waltz-rock band 'Junkyard Choir' and was formerly a singer in Atlantic Records' soul-rock signing, 'Do Me Bad Things'. Mark Woods self-released his first solo Ep "Under the big smoke" on 1st May'09.
