| General | Aside from stand-up comedy, I've also got an interest in radio - which might explain why I am both a stand-up comedian AND a morning radio show personality. (And radio pays better than comedy, and you have to pay your bills somehow - do you know how much rubber chickens and whoopie cushions cost nowadays? It's outrageous!) | | Music | I work at a Positive Hits station - and though I do like Christian music, I'm also a fan of 80's rock and some stuff from the 70's. I used to be a huge fan of Journey. I still enjoy hearing .38-Special, Night Ranger, and I loved Huey Lewis and the News before they made it big with their album SPORTS. I also really like the music of the late 50's and early 60's. My dad had reel-to-reel recordings of all of the music from AMERICAN GRAFFITI. I think that's when I fell in love with radio - who can forget Wolfman Jack? | | Movies | Classics and the new stuff. Loved BATMAN BEGINS - the other Batman movies were, well, batty. Michael Keaton was great in the first BATMAN, but after that they were horrid. Nice to see the edgy, dark, demonesque figure of Batman return. I love the BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy as well. Loved THE GREEN MILE, THE LONGEST YARD (original version), UNFORGIVEN, SILVERADO, REMO WILLIAMS, and ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ. Favorite movie of all time? Easy... IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE with Jimmy Stewart. "I bet it's a warrant for my arrest. Isn't that wonderful? I'm going to jail!" | | Television | My latest interest ..24.. .. but only on DVD. You can..t watch 24 once a week without going totally nutso and wigging out wondering if Kim is finally going to get knocked off this week. Sure, I watch them all on DVD back to back and end up sick from lack of sleep - but what an adrenaline rush! I've also gained interest in ..LOST.. and am addicted to ..HOUSE... I may order the DVDs for "STARGATE SG-1" next - but just the Richard Dean Anderson years. After that, the show lost its edge. FAVORITE TV SHOW RIGHT NOW... "MONK". No contest. | | Books | The Bible. Not much of a reader after that as I spend all day reading stuff and gathering it up for my show. I will say that I like the style of Michael Crichton. If you get the chance to read the Jurassic Park books or his novel "Sphere" - do it. | | Heroes | Not the super ones - but the everyday heros. Men who love their wives and treat them with respect while providing for their families. They are heroes. The men and women who fight for our country both here and abroad. They are heroes. Superman? Batman? Great guys... but nothing compared to the police officers and fire fighters who gave their lives on September 11th, 2001 to save the lives of others. THEY ARE HEROES. |
