En tiempos en los que la mayoría de las bandas mexicanas tiran hacia el pop digital y el rock post algo, entre muchos estilos más, Marlento se caracteriza precisamente por mostrar otro panorama en el camino. Uno desolador y desértico, curtido en postales acústicas que miran hacia el viejo oeste y los sonidos forajidos. Pero también hacia lo oscuro y lo etéreo que, en momentos, recuerda a Joy División y toda esa generación de bandas que lo mismo bebieron del dark que del punk. Una aventura sepia en widescream, ni más ni menos.

It started in the year 2000 with 4 songs written in Denver by one of the members but it was until 2004 in Guadalajara, jal.(mexico) that there was a complete line up. It's 2007 and the band sounds better than ever, they have a 9 songs recording they finished at the end of 2006 and it's available on line (NOISESHOP) and in local stores. the band is currently working on new songs for a recording to be completed at the end of the year, some of the songs are being played already in their live set, which is becoming tighter and very powerfull...it seems like the best of marlento is about to come.
