John MacRae was a regular at the club until he moved, but he still visits from time to time. Please visit the wovenwheatwhispers website where John has 2 albums, see url in the list below. For the extremely cleap price of £4 each you can download his albums. The proceeds from Over the Hills and Over the Main go to BLESMA a national charity for limbless people and ex-service personnel. The proceeds from Tracks go to the Primary Billary Cirrhosis (PBC) foundation, a charity that researches non-alcoholic immune related liver illness.
The wovenwheatwhispers website makes great listening as well as providing a means of distribution for folk artists, why not visit it here or try here

Everyone gets the opportunity to sing or play if they want to (but you don't have to, you can just listen or join in with the choruses) - we just go round the room and sing or play from our seats - no going up the front. This enables us to get more songs and tunes into the evening and makes for a very friendly, relaxed and informal atmosphere.
We welcome all acoustic styles and standards. We typically have unaccompanied traditional singers, singer/songwriters with their own material, rock, country, blues and a fair sprinkling of comedy. Take a look at the blog for details of some recent sessions. Some regulars have been doing this for decades, others sang in public for the first time with us. Ages range from teens to sixties.
Hi Thanks for becoming a friend of The Living Tradition magazine.
We will be using our myspace page to post the latest news and gig details from the UK folk music scene, but for in-depth coverage and features, you can read lots more in our bi-monthly magazine.
The latest magazine, issue 82, is now available and features the 2009 UK folk music festival listings.
If you haven't seen the mag recently and would like a free back issue, please send us a message with your name and postal address.
Or if you would like to subscribe to the magazine the details are on our page.
Just read the blog about last Wednesday - I agree it was a really good evening. Great mix and excellent standard. Thanks again for the friendly welcome. See you all before too long, I hope! Robin & the mandolin
Hi there it's me on my own popping in to say thanks for your help. Looking forward to Bedworth Folk Fest. Wanting to pop in for a day or so. See you there.
Hi! Thanks for the add and for getting in touch. Pressgang are playing regularly again, always up for a festival event. And I'd love to come along to your new club with my new instruments; hurdy gurdy and dulcimer...examples on the myspace page. All the best Damian from Pressgang
Just popping in to say Hellooooooo!! thanks for a lovely evening and sorry we couldn't stay all night. Hi to everyone. Would love to come as a trio and entertain you sometime.
Thanks very much for the lovely comments from one of the best clubs in this country. If you could save me one of Dicks recordings that would be great, i'll pop down one wednesday and pay you for it, if not give me you're address and i'll send money in the post.
