My NEW MUSIC PROJECT is called Throwdown Syndicate...it is a grove/hip-hop/metal/hard driving musical experience that will get your feet moving, your head banging and your blood pumping! We are headlining a show at one of DC's most unique live music venues called FIGHT CLUB DC ON WED MAY 6TH AT 9PM. The "club" is really a place or a scene, rather than a night club. It has an indoor skateboard bowl and outdoor ramps and for just $5 (U.S.) you can hang out all night and watch the chaos! I'm not kidding, this place is one of the coolest live music scenes I've ever seen (and I've seen a few)!
Getting there is half the battle and half the fun, right? The club is on the corner of 9th and N St NW Washington, DC and the actual address is 1250 9th St...HOWEVER, you need to go to the Blagden Alley entrance, and here's how you do that. The 1250 address is next to an open (but fenced) lot on the corner of 9th and N...it is a bricked up old 3 story machine shop or garage...park anywhere on 9th or Nst...walk west down N St and turn left on Blagden Alley (it actually has a street sign)...go about half way down the (very well lit alley...seriously) and do a U turn back around the buildings to the left and look for a silver metal door in the right hand corner (kinda follow your nose, it's not as hard as it sounds!) and you should hear voices and skateboard ramps!
I know this is a week night and I know the place doesn't seem like the easiest place to fin...BUT...I promise you that it's worth the effort...the place is SUPER COOL! If you're already cool enough to be "in the know" then you've already been there and know exactly what I mean...SEE YOU THERE!
Thank you in advance for your continued support of local music!
