Marlowe Stone has been writing songs since the age of 10 and she still never gets tired of nailing that perfect chorus!
A published songwriter by the time she was 16, Marlowe is no stranger to working hard to get her songs heard.
Her debut CD, "Blue Satin Dress", a bluesy-pop collection was inspired by her recording sessions at Chicago's legendary King Size Sound Labs (Wilco, Neko Case, Liz Phair). But her return "home" to Toronto, Ontario Canada lead her to a Top 5 award in the Mix 99.9fm Radio Songwriting Contest (for her timeless track "Enough to Live"). Marlowe then garnered a Top 3 spot on Muchmoremusic's Top 30 Video Countdown for her first single, "Losing You".
Marlowe Stone and her 8 piece band played sold-out shows, building an adoring fanbase in her hometown and abroad.
As Marlowe continues her songwriting journey - she is currently concocting her newest project (stay tuned!) and loves being commissioned to write specialized songs for individuals and organizations.
Her latest song, "Keep the Wheels Turning", was a song she was commissioned to write for the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
Their major fundraising event - Cycle For Survival - raised over one million dollars for rare cancers and Marlowe's song inspired thousands of riders involved.
Marlowe loves when her music inspires people to want to hear more honest music.
