Movies

Some recent faves:

Triplets of Belleville. Ray. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The Incredibles. The Fog of War. Control Room. Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism. Super Size Me.

Some other faves (by no means a complete list):

The Usual Suspects. Midnight Cowboy. Grass. Cabaret. This is Spinal Tap. Spirited Away. The Color Purple. About Schmidt. Citizen Kane. Blazing Saddles. A Simple Plan. Night, Mother. Full Metal Jacket. The Princess Bride. Lost in Translation. Bowling for Columbine. Monster. Spider-Man 2. Identity. The Fugitive. A Clockwork Orange. Memento. Ghandi. Chicago. Reservoir Dogs. Fargo. Best in Show. Being John Malkovich. Happiness. American Splendor. Crumb. Taxi Driver. Raising Arizona. Ghost World. Playing for Time. Sling Blade. Roger and Me. American Beauty. 12 Monkeys. The Jerk. Any Monty Python movie. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Monsters Inc.

Ok, there's just too many to name.

Television

Ok, it's very cool right now to deny that you ever watch T.V. It rots the brain. A waste of time. Kill Your Television, etc. But there are some really great shows out there, and if you have a DVR you never have to watch the fucking commercials, which is undeniably the worst thing about T.V. I only watch T.V. when I have something recorded that I want to watch, and don't just sit in front of it with the remote and no plan. Here's some stuff I like:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Nip Tuck. Big Love. The Sopranos. The Daily Show. The Simpsons. Arrested Developement. Scrubs. Malcolm in the Middle. Faking It. 24. Real Time with Bill Maher.

Current Recommendation - Read This Book!!

Shantaram by Gregory Roberts. One of the best damn novels ever... all based on the incredible real life of the author.

About me:

I was a "smart" kid; praised by my teachers, loathed by all but a handful of my geekiest peers. I have a very low tolerence for idiots and drunks. I read a lot. I wish that human beings would fucking evolve more quickly. I like to make things with my hands. I'm an excellent cook. I have misanthropic tendencies, so if I'm "rude" to you, it's probably because I haven't had an hour to myself in weeks. I've been singing since I could talk, and I've been with my band, the Asylum Street Spankers for 13 years, and travel extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad spreading the Spanker Gospel.

I am 65% Punk Rock.
.
The intelligent punk. Tuff and Smart. I may be able to maintain a train of thought long enough... What the fuck was I talking about?
Who I'd like to meet:

Anyone who shares my interests. Other musicians/performers. Social, political and marijuana advocates. Yoga enthusiasts.
Tom Waits. Michael Moore. Beryl Cook. Masaru Emoto. Jimmy Carter. Arianna Huffington. Matt Groening. Harry Crews. Swami Buaji.

Do dead people count?

Since it's one big fat copyright violation you can't really endorse it, but hopefully it will serve as a YouTube plug for the band!

Hope you like it!

Thank you! I finally have a face to put with all these years of listening to Asylum Street Spankers. Ms. Marrs, your voice hits some sort of chord in myself that takes away all depression and hopelessness. thank you once again for being a beautiful lady in appearance, and song.
