I'm back in the Big Easy... that's right... New Orleans - Proud to call it home!!! Simple Syrup performs live at Ohm Lounge every Sat from 10pm-2am. I play the beats while Ben McGeehee serves up the funk with the keys. It's a cool sound that we like to call Gumbo House. It's really electronic bass lines and percussion backed up by serious riffs from Benjy on the Keys. I leave from Ohm and head straight to Ampersand to finish the night there. My DJ set will be between 2am-4am at ampersand. Please come out a little early on Sat nights and check out my new project!! Ohm lounge can be found on the corner of St. Charles and Common. Common runs parallel to Canal one block away from the French Quarter! I am from New Orleans. Like New Orleans, my life at home was a melting pot of strange experiences which often give new meaning to the words "BIG EASY." I seem to know a little bit about everything and everything about nothing. These skill sets were built by entertaining many jobs in the past. Not all of my jobs were glamorous, but some of them made up for the others. I own a printing business based in Tampa that ships to clients across the country. If you do business, it is only a matter of time before you will eventually need something printed (business cards, all size flyers, envelopes, letterhead, etc.). When I returned to New Orleans in 97 no one would book me to play records, so i began to throw my own parties. I ran and Dj'd at several club nights while attending college. Loved it! After college and a journalism degree, I started my own magazine. (www.speedmagazine.us) We started in New Orleans and Baton Rouge Louisiana and grew to: Lafayette, Gainesville, Tallahassee, Knoxville and Athens. After four years in the business, I sold out and moved to Tampa, Fl. for a new job and life. It is great here. The sun is bright and the ladies are beautiful. I DJ here at the Hard Rock on special occasions and on 88.5 fm on thur nights from 1am - 3am on the Zentripzitees show. If you vacation in Tampa come to the Hard Rock.
