MARSHALL AND HIS GREEN HIGH-TOPS is a new children's book by Camille Blue Amy. It tells the story of sweet little Marshall Mouse who lives with his doting parents Mortimer and Mabel and uncles Grant and David. Marshall longs to wear green high-top sneakers just like humans do to protect their feet. With those special shoes, Marshall believes he will be better at his favorite game of baseball.
Uncle Grant warns that mice don’t wear shoes, but then the kindly uncle becomes part of the family plan to make the shoes a birthday surprise for Marshall.
Will the shoes help Marshall improve his game or will his uncle’s words prove true?
Camille Blue Amy was born in Paducah, Kentucky on July 11th. Nicknamed Mickey, she attended Hopkinsville High School where she was a radio deejay on WHOP. She attended Murray State University and studied music for 8 years before traveling to Alaska where she managed a credit bureau, read children’s books on the radio on Saturday mornings and sang jazz in the evenings at the Narrows Supper Club. Although she always wanted to be an architect, she has instead become an inventor, art broker and three time gallery owner not to mention mother to three grown children and grandmother of two. Camille is a modern Renaissance woman who resides in Punta Gorda, Florida from late autumn to late spring and in Portland, Ontario during the summer months with her husband of 47 years. She loves to paint and do stain glass in her cottage studio in Portland, and has a passion for West Highland Terriers, sailing, tennis and golf.
Camille has already written another book of my adventures so we hope that this one will do well she can get it published too!
Purchase the book at www.marshallmouse.com and at www.amazon.com.
MARSHALL AND HIS GREEN HIGH-TOPS is suitable for children of ages 2-6. It is beautifully illustrated by Lorena Pugh whose paintings and prints can be seen at www.purebrededitions.com.

HELLO, HELLO, HELLO..... so long to coming back to my dear myspace FRIENDS!
I have been very busy, daughter have been ill for long time, sick to my stomach-concerns, stress, anxiety, and even lost without my computer, but i am back for just a short time... :(
I pray that you all have been doing well, and that you are looking forward to the holidays.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING.... brings you warmth, heart be filled with peace, love, and joy everyday!
Thank you Christine. Sometimes i just like to vent a little. I don't take things too seriously. I hope you have a great night and hugs. Also i don't know how closely you read my page but i am only this way part time. I hope you are okay with that. Lorrie

Good to hear from you! Send my well-wishes to Camille. Hope she's doing well soon! My new book is a little different than the others: Annie listens to a legend, thinks it's real and begins to look for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It's based on a poem that was written by a friend (Charley) who asked me to write an Annie Mouse book around it. I found the poem so moving, that I had to delay my Route 66 picture book and get right on this-- Charley is in his 80s and I want him to have plenty of time to enjoy the finished book. You'll like it! It's not exactly "bibliotherapy" which is what my other books are, but it does highlight how young children misunderstand or confuse reality and fantasy. I hope to have it done and in production by March. I'm 90% done with the rough draft and my illustrator has been working on the drawings for a few months now. I'm eager to hear how the distributor works out- I still need to find one. We'll have to keep in touch. Anne
It is good to hear from you......I hope you had a wonderful halloween.....I'm glad to hear that you both.. I recently married- exactly 1 month now.....We are happy. But very poor at this time....We both have been unemployed for quite some time now......We have been having more and more trouble with paying our bills, it seems like......I have been sick with a bad cold and toothache as well for a long time now......I pray that things will lighten up..I know they will......I know it is coming.....Please pray for us - and we will for you as well- my sweet friends.......Continue to be happy my friends.....You are like angels to me, and i thank you for that..
Thanks for the comment! Did you know that I write stories too? The stories I write are called THE CAT WHO TRAVELED AT NIGHT.I'm already on my second story.Of course my stories aren't published, instead I write them in this nice book I got.My stories are about 15 pages or more. I do the writing AND drawing. The stories are about these six friends-Star, Blackie, Duchess, Lady, and Ding and Dong (the twins). They travel trough the city and even to the mountains to find out what seperated all the cat families. If I have time, sometime I could write a sneek-peek of the 2 stories, and you can tell me if they are good stories.Oh by the way, your story sounds great! I love the little mouse, Marshall.
1. I should give myself the same care and attention as I give others.
2. I am not an endless ‘resource’ for others, I must stock up on ‘reserves’ and not get too drained.
3. I have needs to which may be different from my family’s, my friends or my colleagues.
4. I do not have to say ‘yes’ to all requests – or feel guilty if I say ‘no’.
5, The ‘perfect’ parent, partner, child or career person does not exist – the ‘good-enough’ one does!
6. I have the right to be treated with respect as a worthwhile, intelligent and competent person.
7. I do not have to have everyone’s approval all the time to know that I am trying my hardest.
8. Time for unwinding is time very well spent.
9. Making mistakes is not a disaster – I can learn from these and it allows others to as well.
10. I must be fair to myself and remember, at all times especially in the face of criticism, anxiety and difficulties, THAT I AM DOING THE BEST THAT I CAN!!
Wow! It sounds like you both are very busy! I'm working on a new book as well- I am very excited about it, but am suffering from a little "writer's block"- can't seem to get the right segue between two crucial pages-- rather frustrated by it today, so I enjoyed the beautiful fall weather morning we had- before the rains returned! Hope you are enjoying fall as well. Let me know how the distributor works out- if it is a good thing, maybe I will give them a try, too. Have a great weekend! Anne
