Originally from east coast Virginia, Marshall was heavily influenced by blues, gospel, bluegrass, jazz and southern rock genres. His fierce acoustic music is laden with ambient effects and percussive dynamics. Marshall's style is progressive while retaining the sincerity of his roots in music.
As a previous member of Stonefed, he helped catapult the band to receive the 2001 "best unsigned band in Utah" award from City Weekly/City Search. His latest project includes playing for two Major League Soccer charities, Kicks for Kids and Right to Play, with M.L.S. ReAL Salt Lake.
