I am, as my profile name suggests, Marte Wulff.
A norwegian musician in my mid-twenties, living in Copenhagen, Denmark.
As you can see from my list if inspirations, I like, and listen to, a
lot of different kinds of music. That has resulted in me making
different styles of pop music . I write songs, sing them, and accompany
myself on the piano, and I..ve done so since i was quite young. The
last 4-5 years though, it has gradually taken over most of my life..in
a good way.
I released my first record "Jacket" in Norway, january 2006, and was
pleasantly surprised with how that went. Three radio singels came of
it: "Carousel (of love)", "Run", and "Lady". I also got to go on tour,
play festival gigs and open for some quite well known artists.
My second record "Safety Pins" was released a little more than a year
later, february 2007. The first single from that one, "Accident", which i co-wrote with danish artist Nicolai Funch, also did well on norwegian
radio. At the present time, the second single called "Last Dance", is living it..s..own life.
I have also gotten to write some songs and lyrics for and with other
artists, - something I..d love to do more of, and done some beautiful
duets. Two of which you can find among my tracks above.
Both my records were released through my own label: "It..s Definitely
Records", and distributed by Sonet. This is a co-operation and
arrangement witch I..m very, very happy with so far.
My plans for 2007-2008 are to play and tour some more with my current
material, while I continue to write new music that will be released
when it..s ready to be.
My ambitions are pretty much purely musical:
To keep writing songs and lyrics that I think are sometimes simple,
sometimes more challenging, but always heartfelt.
To keep making and releasing records that I like.
To always try to get better at what I do, as well as learn new things.
To work and play with people who inpire me.

Thank you for your reply! :) I'm very proud of having a message on my page now from a famous star/singer! :D It's so funny to "talk" to some one who has exactly the same name! And to see "my" name on your CD-Covers or to listen to songs from someone with my name! ;) That's really a new fealing for me, because the name "Marte (Wulff)" is in Germany so special - many people don't even know this name... So that's why I thougt that there won't be a ..second.. "Marte (Wulff)" on this world! xD But I'm more than happy to know that YOU're the one with "my" name! :D There only so few people who sing as wonderful songs as you in exactly my favorite musical direction! ;) My favorite songs from you are "Amatorer" and "Last Dance". I'm listening to them the whole day - and I wish you all success you can ever get!!!
