Thank you for stopping by my page. Make yourself at home, and listen to some music if you want.... I am, as my profile name suggests, Marte Wulff. A norwegian musician, currently living happily in Copenhagen, Denmark... I write songs, sing them, and accompany myself on the piano. I've done so since i was quite young. The last 5-6 years though, it has gradually taken over most of my life ... in a good way... As you can see from my list of inspirations, I appreciate many different kinds of artist and music. I think that is part of the reason why the music I make vary quite a lot when it comes to sound and genre. That is how i like it. It perticularly makes the live concert-part of my interaction with music come to life for me, when every once in a while I get tired of pouring my heart out over the piano. Don't get me wrong; I love playing a good ballad, but sometimes you just want to get up and move around a little. You know? .. Anyway, a little bio:.. I released my first record "Jacket" in Norway, january 2006, and was pleasantly surprised with how that went. Three radio singels came of it: "Carousel (of love)", "Run", and "Lady". I also got to go on tour, play festival gigs and open for some quite well known artists... My second record "Safety Pins" was released a little more than a year later, february 2007. The first single from that one, "Accident", which i co-wrote with danish artist Nicolai Funch, also did well on norwegian radio, and so did the second one, called "Last Dance".. I have also gotten to write some songs and lyrics for and with other artists, as well as recorded some beautiful duets. The one i did with Norwegian artist Erik Faber actually became a number one hit on the Norwegian radio charts... Both my records were released through my own label: "It's Definitely Records", and distributed by Sonet/Universal. This is a co-operation and arrangement that I'm very happy with so far... Theese days I am getting ready to release my third album, and It feels a little bit like I'm starting from scratch. In many ways, that is a good feeling. It has been over three years since my last one, and i can't wait to come out and play... This time around, the lyrics are in Norwegian. This is quite a big change fore me, and I have made it becauce I think it helps me to write better songs. We have to keep trying to evolve, right? It's all about the new things:-).. Thank you for stopping by my page. Make yourself at home, and listen to some music if you want to. I am, as my profile name suggests, Marte Wulff. A norwegian musician, dividing my time between Oslo and Kristiansand in Norway, and Copenhagen, Denmark. I write songs, sing them, and accompany myself on the piano. I've done so since i was quite young. The last 5-6 years though, this has gradually taken over most of my life ... in a good way.

About Marte:

Since Marte moved from Oslo to Copenhagen in 2007, she has been active as a musician in both countries. She has managed to work up a conciderable amount of live experience: Marte has played more than 300 concerts, whith, and without her band. She has been on three tours for the Norwegian ''Rikskonsertene'', she has opened for artists like Kim Larsen, Heather Nova, Katie Melua and Minor Majority, as well as played gigs at festivals like ByLarm, SouthBy South West, Quartfestivalen, Norwegian Wood and other well renouned norwegian festivals. Wulff, who plays the piano and writes all of her own music and lyrics, has released the albums "Jacket" (2006) and "Safety Pins"(2007) and "Handler i selvforsvar", her first in Norwegian(2010). ”Jacket” contained three radiohits: ”Carousel of love”, ”Run” and ”Lady”, and was also nominated for a norwegian Grammy in the category for best new act. On "Safety Pins" she followed up with "Accident" and "Last Dance", both songs that entered the norwegian radio charts. Many of Wulff's songs has also beed used i Norwegian motion pictures and been included on hit-collection releases.
