Danish singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and author. First record release at the age of 17 with post-punk avantgarde ensemble Ballet Mécanique whose album “The Icecold Waters of the Egocentric Calculation” is regarded as a cornerstone in contemporary Danish music history. Since then Hall has released a series of albums, singles and tapes ranging from sheer industrial terror (“Inskription”) to neo-classical recordings (“Das Mechanische Klavier”), a line of books on major publishing labels as well as several magazines and anthologies.
Books like “Kommunikaze” (2001) and his two-volume breakthrough novel “The Last Romantic” (2005) have both been highly praised by the press and so have records like “Random Hold” (1996), “Metropolitan Suite” (2001) and “Camille” (2002). His latest studio album “Facsimile” from 2006 was proclaimed as one of his finest works ever by an unanimous press. In November 2007 the circle was completed with the release of the box set “Catalogue” featuring five audio-cd’s and a dvd summoning up MH’s musical career from 1980 to the time of the release.
MH has received several artistic honour awards, but has continually refused to formalize or standardize his works. Founded his own label Panoptikon in 2003 to secure the flow and artistic freedom in his productions. Major parts of his works have been released in Germany, Holland, France, England and Italy.
