Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He comes from a family of musicians. He started recieving private musical instruction at an early age.
Drums, percussion, piano and bass were soon to be followed by composition, this together with his father’s strong influence (one of the major CBS Columbia Latin American Artist, who recorded with Astor Piazzola and Osvaldo Fresedo among may others) led him to learn his voice as another instrument. After high school, moved to USA where he studied at Miami Dade Community College.
Back in Argentina studied composition with Daniel Montes. Won the Jazz/popular music First Award in the Bienal Arte Joven ‘91 Buenos Aires.
In 2002 moved to Germany and actually lives in Berlin city. There has been a very favourable response specially to his latest contribution with the cello in the contemporary jazz field. Martin seems to have the ability of adapting to different projects in different styles of music. Many important artists have trusted his sound, whether it is bass, cello, perc. or vocals.
