Currently, just me. At some point in the future, other fabulous musicians will get involved - particularly Andy Gilmour on Bass.
Neye Benziyor?
It's all just notes, words and a beat... I'm not sure it matters which box it can be forcibly stuffed into, really. But if you must - how about folk/blues?
Martin Lennon has been a musician since around 1972 and first began performing solo around 1977. He's been a member of a Ceilidh Band, has run a dance company and has recorded all kinds of different music for all kinds of things.
Recently, he's been writing songs like a madman, some of which will be in rotation here. Having performed many of them live, the songs have changed in character a little.
This year (2009) Martin will be recording and releasing a CD, and will embark on an open-ended tour of Britain, possibly taking in Europe, playing folk clubs, bars and tea-rooms in a nationwide search for the perfect cake.
Haven..t played the old Heimatland, yet, Martin, but hope springs eternal and we..d love to get over once "It..s You" comes out. If we make it, I..ll be in touch. Do you have any good connections, good venues you could recommend?? Cheers, janet
The plot thickens, Sir: methinks I..ll have to follow this up!
Cheers and thank you, once again. Looking forward to relaxing into your music, once I get our bliddy CD No. 2 out - hoping this will happen in the next couple of weeks, though we..ve been waiting for months. Hope your experience of recording has been much different, Martin!
Hi and thanks for the message. The gig was great and Shirl said she would be having us back at The Beggar again. I've been listening to your tracks and reading about your music. Really enjoyed listening and I see you know Hannah? I'e not seen her in aaaaages! She helped with fundraisers when we were organising bands for the Meadows Festival a few years ago and she played it too. Lovely lady. See you at the next gig =) Karen
