I was born in a quaint little village on the South Bank of the River Tees in the North East of England and for many years have lived in a beautiful and picturesque Victorian seaside resort town of Saltburn, sandwiched between the crystal clear waters of the North Sea and the breathtaking North Yorkshire Moors and the stunning Cleveland Hills. I enjoy "Live" entertainment, by ordinary people who have the courage to stand in front of a audience and perform. Sometimes it is not always the recognised best performer that is the most entertaining on any given evening. I like humour and laughter to be a essential ingredient of an evenings entertainment. I also enjoy writing songs about anything that may catch my attention and I have had the fortune to have some of my songs played on tv/radio in various countries around the world and have recently been hailed by various festival organizers as the PREMIER COMEDY SONGWRITER in the NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND. I would like to share some of my songs with you here on www.myspace.com/martinnesbittmusic and I hope you enjoy listening to them.
After you've finished here, you may like to hear this folk-carol on myspace... Poem 230 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (see my blog for details): CHRISTMAS SUNG SIMPLY
As gospellers have said, Beneath signalling skies, On land dusty to tread, A trough in a stable Was the strawy first-bed Of a divine baby - The forgiving Godhead.
A season for new hope - There then and here now; The yuletide of goodwill - There then and here now.
In respect of this chance, Beneath bright or dark skies, Faith's the star that we glance Attending Christ's churches And trying to enhance, With singing and ritual, Our God-loving stance.
