I like all kinds of music from bluegrass like Billy Bragg and Revrand Peyton's Big Damn Band, Jam bands like the Dead and Phish, some punk (mostly folk and Irish punk like Against Me and The Dropkick Murphy's), old school rock like the Doors, OLD country like Johnny Cash, getting more into Indie and local bands lately. Mostly New Pornographers, Cold War Kids, Lupe Fiasco Arcade Fire. I have friends that are way more hip than me so its hard not to. When it comes down to it i like anything but pop country really.

I like to watch them and I want to make them. A couple are the LOTR films, Indiana Jones, Saving Private Ryan, Fletch, Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, The Eye and other Asain horror films, Pan's Labyrinth, V for Vendetta, Black Snake Moan, Kill Bills, Grindhouse, Memento, etc etc. and as many foreign and Indie flicks as I can see.

Entourage, Sopranos, Rome etc. most of the HBO shows. Discovery channel is the shit. I like watching sports as well

LOTR, The Field, Dan Millman books, Prozac Nation, Tao Te Ching, Davinci Code, Angels and Demons, Gate of Fire, Harry Potter. Women, Ham on Rye (just started that one). Lots of different kinds, fiction and non.
