I'm 58 years old and have been playing fingerstyle guitar since I was 16 (should be a lot better, but hey, life's too short) & took up bluegrass banjo in 2004. Why I didn't do that before I will never know - it's grabbed me by the short and curlies and won't let go! (Perhaps it might have got in the way of my former career as a professional drinker) I can often be found at bluegrass festivals around the uk, pickin "The Red Haired Boy" and other bluegrass classics. I am also a member of the legendary acoustic trio "Blakes III" and a fully paid up member of rockin' Cajun/Zydeco/Blues outfit Whiskey River who can be found here: http://www.whiskeyriver.co.uk

Hey Martin, how's tricks? Back in the shire in December and have 2 shows, Catherine Feeny on December 4th and then the big party on December 20th. Hope to see you at one or both, Richard
Hello from Japan Pop! Just wondering if you would mind putting my music myspace in your top friends instead of my silly other myspace account. You know you want to :P hehee. Love you Dadzoooo! 大好き!日本もマーティン・ブレイクが大好き~!
Hey Martin! Great to hear those old whisky soaked/nicotine stained vocals again! You sound as good and as authentic as ever! Well done with the banjo too... doubtless you've heard ALL the jokes so I'll spare you that! I actually like the banjo in the right setting... it works for me in Blue Moon Nights... love your smokey version! Keep in touch... and if you're ever on these shores I just happen to live in one of the most beautiful parts of N. Ireland! love to all the family and any old friends you may bump into! take care Errol

Hey Martin, if you're not playin' on the 21st you should come to the WHC Solstice gig when Robyn Hitchcock is coming with a truly fine band and a fine time will be had by all. Ticket details on my page.
