I used to play in a band, but then I realized I sucked at playing in bands. Hooray! Now I'm solo. Sometimes my girlfriend sings along with me. That's it.

"Girly folk music."
- Ian Straus, guitarist of The Alterations
"This kid is obviously talented...check him out."
- Langdon St. Cafe in Montpelier, VT
"Marty has continued the ideals that the Violent Femmes started years ago; a sort of acoustic punk music, but the music is just as much folk as it is anything else."
- MicControl Blog (http://miccontrolblog.com/)
"I realize you're going for unpolished, a la Elliott Smith or Jonathan Richman, but even still, you need a lot of work."
- Some record label asshole. Yeah, I AM unpolished! Deal with it fucker!
I play shitty pop music. I have a couple of cds out, and they're all super cheap and wonderful, like Parisian whores. Minus STDs. If you want to buy one, visit www.martycainmusic.tk
You can reach me at martycain09@yahoo.com for booking purposes or to chat or whatever.
hey man thanks for the kindness! i love radio shows, im on one at school that has live bands! anyway we need to play together or at least hang out sometime! if you're ever in CT during the summer or MA during the school year get at me! -Tyler
alright here is the deal with mailorder. if you have the cash (its not a biggie) you can send how much you think a CD is worth (i usually say $3-5) to: Tyler Bisson 23 Crater Lane Berlin, CT 06037 and we are going on tour this summer! all over the country, but mostly the west. i will definitely come to VT sometime soon though! and we must play together. and i see you've found my good friend Sheep! we did a split that he'll send you i hope. thanks for your interest! take care, -Tyler (TRAGWAG/Broken Records)
Thanks so much that'd make us happy, money is not a major issue, everything is technically sliding scale, so if something says $3-5 but you only have $1 or $2 I'm not gonna turn you away, $3-5 is just what I hope for. Also, everything we have can be converted to cassette if you prefer cassettes. Just send me a nice letter in the mail, whenever and I'll send some stuff your way. Thanks! Dan :)
it's really hard to run a venue and make it work money wise... believe me... I spend SO much time on putting out these shows and the returns are dubitable... tough business. You should enjoy London... wicked place, tho... CAREFUL!!
hey! some sweet songs!! is the Brattleboro scene really dead? Manchester has some cool stuff... is that far from you? what about manchester, NH? Burlington is almost TOO plentiful... but it's fun!! so, enjoy your gigs... maybe i'll be able to catch you some day...
Thanks Marty! I was referring to both. There is a place here in Chicago, a meat market, that makes their own gummi bears, and they beat out Haribo. If you ever come here, let me know and I'll tell you how to get there. They are amazing!
Hey, what's going on? Thanks for the friendage. If you're ever involved with anything in CT or playing a show, let me know. I'd love to write about you. Keep in touch.
