This really should be entitled "Inspirations" to say thank you not only to those who inspired me early on but also to some of those involved with me in all of this throughout the years. Some I still know, some have passed out of my life and some I have never met but, as my friend Andy Payne says, it's all about the journey, not the destination.
Inspirations constantly change and, hopefully, I am always learning something from all of them. At a young age, Marty was often seen about one metre from a TV, mesmerised by a seemingly never-ending cavalcade of long-haired, pointy-shoed, and mini-skirted groovy people called musicians. It was then he came to believe in magic.
Upon reaching his teens and after years of sporadic research in an education system that he unwisely believed more suited to others, Marty took a punt and dared a career as a musician.
