First and Foremost, I am the greatest killer on the battlefield.

For I determine the out come of war, but if I am not there, the war has no direction.
You see, I have the power to call upon the Demons of War, the mortars, artillery, MLRS, naval gunfire, attack aviation, and the fast movers.
These are my "Tools", my insrumtents of death. My greatest tool, however is my radio!
Whether it is on my back or on a platform, I possess the gift of gab with a touch of finesse. And I employ these tools, my power grows.
Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutly.
But in my worldly endevors the spoils of war have yet to diminish my quest for peace.
As i do my job, I help write history of wars, past and of those yet to come.

Just so everyone is aware, today, April 19, 2007, 2nd Batallion, 2nd Infantry Regiment has been re-activated at Fort Hood, Texas as part of the new 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division.
We are all excited to be part of such a proud tradition.

Unit History
The 2nd Infantry Regiment was formed on the 12th of April 1808. The 2nd Regiment of Infantry was constituted in the regular Army as a Company of the 5th Infantry. Soon afterwards, the Regiment fought in the War of 1812. After the war, the 2nd Infantry fought in the Seminole War and numerous other Indian Campaigns.
In 1843, LTC Riley, who commanded the 2nd Infantry through the Seminole and Mexican Wars, presented the Regiment with a drum major's baton, made from a ramrod, with a silver knob inscribing the date of presentation, the name of the officer giving it, and the regimental motto, "Noli Me Tangere" meaning "Don't touch me." After assaulting the fortress at Chapultapec, the flagstaff from that fort was used to make another baton with the silver mountings transferred to it. The baton remains with the 2nd Infantry to this day, and is the symbol of the unit nickname: "Ramrods."
American Civil War The Second returned to the United States in 1848 and the Regiment moved to California to quell Indian uprisings. During the Civil War the 2nd Infantry Regiment fought in 23 major engagements.
Spanish American War From 1877 to 1898. In 1898 the regiment fought in the Spanish-American War, participating in the battles of Santiago and San Juan Hill, where it fought side by side with Teddy Roosevelt's "Rough Riders."
World War II In World War II, the regiment fought as part of Patton's Third United States Army, leading the way in the breakout from the beaches of Normandy in Operation Cobra, capturing Rheims and seizing Metz after a major battle at Fort Driant

1st: Princess, you made me understand that anyone can love anyone regardless of there obvious flaws. (This gives me hope -you know who you are)
2nd: My Father "C.G." aka Clifford, aka Granvel, who is no longer here with me physically. His physical presence of tall dark mysterious and handsome are traits I have always admired. His best quality though is that anyone I ever met just thought the world of him and in today's world that's impressive. His words ring true and keep me focused when I need them most; "Marty I am tough on you because the world is hard and if you can work for me without folding you can work for anyone, and it's important because unless your rich you're always gonna work for somebody!" In reality like many Sons I never gave him, or showed him the credit he truly deserved and that will bother me until I die or win the medal of honor in his name.
3rd: My Aunt Vastie who has passed on who once said: "Marty God doesn't make junk, so just take a deep breath and keep going" She had a nack of making me feel like the most important person in the world as I am sure she made everyone feel the same
4th: My Aunt Evelyn who is gone now, who taught me that color, and age doesn't have to matter if you are smart enough to understand. She once said; "The only difference between a poor white boy and a poor black kid is that one of you better stand in the shade cause one of you will burn faster than the other", and she said "when you are 75 and Keith (my best friend) is 79 you will both be just two old hellions so age don't matter".
5th: My Uncle Gary (who looked EXACTLY like Elvis) once told me (and it may be the best advice I ever got even though I don't think he always used it); "Marty the only things that matter in life is what a Man can do and Should do"
6th: My Uncle Butch, he is no longer with me; He was the person I had my first beer with (Pearl, downstairs at the Beach House)
7th: To Granny: A Angelic Woman who loved everyone, and could make you feel like you were the most important person in the World!
8th: To Mama Marshall: My Fathers Mother who always looked after me regardless of what kind of trouble I created -LOL!
9th: My Mama!! A Woman who just WILL NOT STOP loving me despite the fact that I may have at one time been the most rotten Kid to ever walk the EARTH! You know it's true Mom!
10th: My Brother Logan, the coolest most laid back (my polar opposite) awesome Brother a guy could ask for! I just wish we could have hooked up sooner, and now more often!
I want to thank my Mother, my Brother Logan, my Sister Angi, My Cousin Shannon, My Michelle, Mr. Kevin Hart, My friend Carla, National Oilwell Varco, Haliburton, and everyone who is sending us care packages! We call it Meerkat Manor because we look like Meerkats popping out of our holes all day when rockets hit the FOB. While back at the Airforce base we have the MWR center that has full Internet where we can check our email, myspace etc. So many have sent us care packages, socks, food, snacks, pens, paper, etc that make this place seem not so bad. I'm sorry that I am not prepared today to list all of you today (I don't have my list) but I will! My Mother and others back home have been sending packages to all of us here and it really means so much to us! Many of the guys here don't have family and when they get mail it makes it all easier. So again thank you, thank you, thank you. If anyone is interested in sending a soldier a letter or care package please contact my mother (Senette-she is in my friends list). She has an Alpha roster with all of our names on it and you can pick one. We really appreciate your support!

Typically the 13Foxtrot/FO/Fister MOS(Military Occupational Specialties )attracts individuals with a quick wit, a strong sense of themselves incredibly fast thinkers who appreciate humor and are most often found at the root cause of most "Personnel Issues" in garrison in the form of pranks as well as fights. This also means that due to being "High Strung" fun loving troublemakers they are often in trouble for a multitude of offenses.
They are terrific multi tasking entities. They are smart, they are independent thinkers, and frequently referred to as some of the most deadly warriors available to leaders on the battlefield.
Due to there "gift of gab" they are able to survey battlefields, summon the demons of war and call for artillery, naval gun fire and air strikes all while working beyond enemy lines under heavy fire often engaged in combat within 10 meters of where they stand, all the while insuring that they do not under any circumstance make errors that cost the lives of friendly and allied forces.
Few are capable and even fewer accept the responsibility of being a "Fister". In addition to the many strains put on Fisters they most also accept the fact that since they are in fact the "eyes" of the armed forces they must accept that they are also the most sought after targets on the battlefield.
All of these factors weigh in and the end result is a pure warrior who can separate what he does for a living versus who he is as a person. They always place the mission first, they have a strong sense of country and family, all the while accepting the fact that the life of a "Fister" is approximately 17 minutes on the battlefield which is why the Bonus is so high due to the fact that it is considered a high priority high needed position.
Forward Observers in the US Marine Corps/US Army:
Artillery observers carry the (MOS) designation of 13 Foxtrot (13F) in the U.S. Army and 0861 in the U.S. Marine Corps. Commonly referred to as FO's (Forward Observers), FISTs (FIre Support Team), or COLTs (Combat Observation Lasing Team), their more general official designation is “Fire Support Specialist”; other designations referring to specific positions held depending on the mission.
For a variety of reasons, the position of Fire Support Specialist is often thought of as among the most dangerous and challenging in the armed forces. Due to the substantial firepower they control, their communications and reconnaissance abilities, and their small numbers, artillery observers of any variety are regarded as targets of very high importance to enemy forces. Their skills in reconnaissance must be met with similarly high intelligence and ability to think quickly in situations of extreme stress, as a minor mental error during a fire mission could lead to the forward observer accidentally ordering an artillery bombardment on friendly forces or even on himself. There exist 2 duties associated with Forward Observer Teams according to general military doctrine and the FIST field manual 6/20. Primary duty consists of bringing to arms all indirect fire assets (artillery, mortars, naval gunfire and air strikes). Secondary duties consist of reporting battlefield intelligence to the command echelon.
Soldiers in this MOS must meet a number of requirements not demanded of many other military careers.
The artillery observer must be acutely aware of the position and movements of their own troops as well as those of the opposing forces. Because of the strategic importance of this information, U.S. Army FO's must qualify for top secret security clearance, the [level] depending on their specific position. They must be able to work independently for long periods of time, as some missions can be last for days or even weeks, and because of the clandestine nature of their work and their frequent placement on or (behind enemy lines), the ability to operate with minimal support is of great importance. They are all "Special Forces Qualified".
Their physical demands are extremely high as the FO's must survive and fight alongside paratroopers, airmobile infantry, light infantry, mechanized infantry, United States Marines and even United States Army Rangers while typically carrying a much greater equipment load (radios, secure communication equipment, laser target designators, etc.) than the maneuver element they are attached to. As well they must survive in an armored and cavalry environment. Because of this, their grunt/rifleman skills must be on a level that allows them to have an optimal survival rate. They are given exceptionally hard cardiovascular, strength, infantry and United States Army Combatives/United States Marine Corps MCMAP training in addition to their FO training. This is to ensure that they have the capability to perform their more cerebral duties while under the same stress the infantry unit is exposed to.
FO teams are often attached to Mechanized infantry dismounted teams. In this scenario they break off with small infantry teams and travel on foot akin to light infantry and search for the enemy. They can also break off in two man FO teams and establish an observation post.
Fire support teams designated to work with infantry companies and platoons play a more direct action role, performing their duties without the aid of a vehicle often walkiing as much as 35 miles to reach an observation post. Each infantry platoon is assigned a Forward Observer in the rank of E-5 Sergeant, along with his Radio/Telephone Operator (RTO) and a SAW Gunner (see above). These FO's fall under the auspices of the Fire Support Officer and Fire Support Non-Commissioned Officer who work at company-level.
Fire support teams designated to work with cavalry and Special Forces troops also play a direct action role. Due to the smaller platoon size in a cavalry troop the forward observer often fulfills the role of both a FO and a scout. As with the infantry the FO and RTO are assigned to be a Platoon Leader's personal asset.
Basic concept of how the FO calls in and adjusts Artillery fire on a targetOne specialty of a fire support team is to act as a COLT/STRIKER(Combat Observation Lasing Team). The COLT is a high-technology, deeply inserted, observer/reconnaissance team often called on to maximize the use of smart laser-guided munitions such as the M712_Copperhead. COLTs are regularly equipped with a GLLD, a device used to assist any munition which requires reflected laser energy for final ballistic guidance. These teams typically work closely with attack aircraft to guide air-delivered laser-guided munitions.
All US Army 13-series soldiers attend training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and Special Forces Training regardless of specialty. All Forward Observers are experts in combatives, hand to hand combat, and experts when it comes to weapons. The training for 13F's has recently been revamped, eliminating separation between basic training and job training. Recruits complete both Basic Combat Training and their job instruction not only at the same facility, but with the same cadre, all in one long training period. Marines receive their forward observer schooling at Fort Sill as well, though their initial boot camp training is completed elsewhere.

Cholerics weaknesses include anger and hostility.
A choleric is the most likely to have an active temper; he is a door slammer and horn blower and he can carry a grudge for a long time. This includes a cutting and sarcastic tongue and the choleric will rarely hesitate to tell someone off. The choleric is the least likely to show affection or any public show of emotion. His emotions are the lease developed of all the temperaments. Additionally a choleric can be inconsiderate, opinionated and crafty in getting their own way.
