| General | reading, writing, no arithmetic.... cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner most days, mixed with the occasional dessert and creative dish), listening to my iPod (4300+ songs), watching movies, hanging out at home with my honey, love being a grandpa (via my honey's granddaughter), my wonderful daughter who I hope will still want to hang with her dad in the next few years, golf (trying to play once a week), camping - "mix me another dr pepper and rum", damn lucky to have a good life - even though I bitch about some of the weirdness at times (including wind and cold weather), love the Mac and it's cool way of letting me do work without requiring some form or virus or spyware removal on an hourly basis. | | Music | LOVE MUSIC... where do I start.... Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, KoRn, Depeche Mode, Cracker, Guns 'n' Roses, Motley Crue, Neil Young, Velvet Revolver, STP, Pixies, Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, Drive-By Truckers, Staind, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool, Wolfmother (great new band if you love vintage Sabbath and LedZep), The Panic Channel... CLASSIC ROCK.. Pink Floyd, Zep, Stones, Cream, James Gang (i'll keep adding as I remember them - watch this space for changes) | | Movies | Top 10: Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous, True Romance, Say Anything, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol. 1&2, Sideways, From Dusk Till Dawn, Private Parts, Space Balls --- other movies I like are the old John Hughes 80's films: Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty In Pink... the stuff he did before "Home Alone" ruined him as a director. | | Television | I like TV, but am not glued to it. New shows for the 2006 season I am watching are: Weeds, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Boston Legal. Reality TV can kiss my ass. Simpsons, Futurama (it's coming back.. yeah!) and Family Guy are staples. I like Penn & Teller's Bullshit!. Most of my TV viewing is done via my iPod or my Sony PSP. I'd rather watch my shows on the go than sit on the couch. | | Books | So little time, so much to read. I currently am trying to get on a regular schedule of reading a book a month. I read a LOT of articles on the web and in print. Mostly political, but I'll read anything that makes me think.
Current books I am reading: The Dirt, State of Denial | | Heroes | Anyone who takes responsibility for their own actions and thoughts in life, instead of always trying to blame someone else. Those who struggle in life and always find ways to pay the bills, make ends meet and enjoy life in general are heroes of mine. |

About me:
Nice, friendly, care-free (for the most part), easy going (although I get stressed easier as I get older), politically active, liberal, supporter of human rights... i speak my mind more often than not..... love to write (just need to make more time for it and hope someday to be making a living at doing what I love), goddamn happy to finally be the person I should have been for years, love to travel (don't do enough of that).... for the last 22 years, I've done IT/Network Admin/Help Desk work... it's pretty much my career. My specialty is email administration (MS Exchange).... i love gadgets and have had hundreds of them over the years (did a newsletter called Take It With You some years back as well as numerous articles ina tons of publications on the various PDAs and handhelds). Current arsenol of gadgets includes: Treo 650 (replaced Pocket PC, Palm and cell phone), iPod, PSP, Mac mini, MacBook Pro, Canon MiniDV and Canon digital camera (two of them: one pocket sized and one feature heavy).
