Dolores del Rio advert on the Marszałkowska St., Warsaw 1928, Poland.
Dolores del Río [1905-1983] was a Mexican actress, a star of Hollywood films during the silent era and in the Golden Age of Hollywood, becoming an important actress in Mexican films later in her life. She was generally thought to be one of the most beautiful actresses of her era and was the first Latin American movie star to have international appeal.
Martha Mansfield [1899 – 1923] was an American actress in silent films and vaudeville stage plays.
On November 30, 1923, while working on location in San Antonio, Texas on the film The Warrens of Virginia, Mansfield was severely burned when a match, tossed by a cast member, ignited her Civil War costume of hoopskirts and flimsy ruffles.
National Independence Day [Narodowe Święto Niepodległości] is celebrated every year in Poland on 11 November to commemorate the anniversary of Poland's assumption of independent statehood in 1918 after 123 years of partitions by Austria-Hungary, Germany, and Russia.
Yup! You know, you just got me to thinkin': what NFL team do most L'villians favor? When I lived in Arkansas, it was a strange brew (most Arkansans cain't stand a Texian, let alone a football team from there)...and that was before the Titans. They mostly watch college ball. If it ain't Razorbacks, it ain't shit.
I hope you've been well. Things have been hectic but I want to catch up with anyone. I'm going to be stopping by blogs for the next few days. If there is anything specific you'd like me to read please post a link in my comments. Thanks guys - sorry for being M.I.A.
"DJ Monkey …soul-stirring, excitingly edgy music…just disturbing (read ‘mind-f**king’) enough to demand attention. There is a whole spice rack of auditory flavors here, served up like fractured poetry on a collection of intensely listenable Hallmark cards from Hell." Bill Margold, Cinema Seen, L.A. X..Press

Yo Marty (Louisville)asaurus. I just found out that we're related...and as a special family only present we've made a new song for you called "End of Days" (start doing backflips now). It's an epic instrumental opus to the moment when our ancient Dino relatives saw a large fiery object plummeting towards them. Please come to our page, give it a listen and let us know if it makes you feel like something catastrophic is gonna happen. If the song upsets you too much we will be holding several s support groups (read: comcerts) in the near future. Check our page for locations, dates and times.
