Martyn Wolf is a new fresh face on the electronic music scene who demonstrates his pure passion and love for cleverly crafted music with a smile and animation every time it hits his eardrums.
He has been bubbling away on the Bristol DJ circuit for a few years now. Starting in the cities bars and working his way up to playing for infamous west country nights like Loco, Play & Zoo within a year of his first set.
With numerous, various & respected Bristol residency's and guest appearances under his belt he started to spread his wings in 2006 with sets in Cardiff for the long standing night Superchunk. He also secured a guest appearance @ hush on the white Isle of Ibiza during the closing week of the 2006 season.
2007 saw a change of focus and genre for Martyn Wolf, moving towards tech house & minimal which is where his musical passions still lie today.
These changes lead to the continuation of his work with Loco & Zoo. But also saw him secure sets in Cheltenham for Rhapsody and also a regular slot on the Just Jack Radio Show on www.passionradiobristol.com.
The change of focus also saw Martyn Wolf step into the studio and start crafting the music instead of playing it. Working both on his own and with production partner Paul Loraine (Loco/riffraff recordings) he has seen good results and with the promise of more deep and dark delights to follow this artist is on the up.
His guest spots with Loco have now seen him earn a residency for this highly respected Bristol institution. This combined with positive feedback being received on his first completed piece of studio work means that the future is looking more than bright for this young producer & DJ.
Ello ello, cheers for that but was in Barcelona at the weekend. How was loco and rome? In Brighton for the next couple of weeks but definately need to attend a loco loco night soon.x
